Educating people on the benefits of exercise, lowering weight, decreasing stress and improving their diets has helped, as have advanced drug therapies. However, today one in five deaths are caused by cardiovascular disease. In 2009, Cardiovascular Business Magazine projected that over the next 30 years deaths from heart disease will increase by fivefold.
